Booking & payments

How does booking work? Can I book instantly online?

We work consultation-first. You choose a package or share your plans, a specialist confirms real flight and hotel availability, and you receive a written, itemized quote. Nothing is booked and no payment is taken until you approve it. You then pay a deposit through a secure hosted payment page. See Plan My Umrah.

What is included in your Umrah packages?

It depends on the package, which is why every package page and quote lists inclusions and exclusions item by item: flights (for air-inclusive packages), hotels, room type, transfers, visa support, meals and ziyarat. If something is not listed as included, assume it is not, and ask your specialist.

Is a “starting from” price the price I will pay?

Not necessarily. A “starting from” price is usually the per-person price when the most people share a room, often a quad. Your final price depends on your rooming, dates and availability, and is confirmed only in your written quote.

What are the deposit and cancellation terms?

The deposit, payment schedule and cancellation terms that apply to your trip are stated in your written quote before you pay anything. Some components, such as airfares, may be non-refundable once ticketed. Please read our cancellation and refund policy, linked in the site footer, and ask your specialist about anything unclear.

Will you ask for my card number or passport by email or chat?

No. We never ask for card numbers by email, chat or web form; payments are made through a secure hosted payment page. If passport details are needed for bookings or visas, your specialist will explain the secure way to provide them. Please do not send passport images by chat or email.

Families, children & seniors

Can you plan for elderly parents or travelers who use a wheelchair?

Yes, and we encourage you to tell us early. We consider hotel proximity, elevators, airport assistance, wheelchair arrangements at the mosques and a gentler pace. Read our guide to Umrah with elderly parents or young children.

Can children perform Umrah, and how are children priced?

Children can perform Umrah, with parents helping them through the rites. Child pricing depends on age, airline fares and hotel rooming rules, and is shown clearly in your written quote.

Can women travel for Umrah without a mahram?

Saudi regulations on this have been relaxed in recent years, though requirements can differ by age and visa type and should be checked at the time of travel. Religious views on the question differ between scholars, so we recommend consulting a scholar you trust. A specialist can explain the current travel requirements and options such as traveling with a group.

General

What is the difference between Umrah and Hajj?

Hajj is the annual pilgrimage performed on set days in the month of Dhul Hijjah. Umrah, sometimes called the “lesser pilgrimage”, can be performed for most of the year and consists of Ihram, Tawaf, Sa’i and shaving or trimming the hair. Read our step-by-step guide to Umrah.

How long does Umrah take, and how long should my trip be?

The rites themselves often take around two to four hours, depending on crowds and pace. Most trips from the United States last 7–14 nights, split between Makkah and Madinah, which allows time to recover from the journey, perform Umrah and pray in both holy mosques.

Are the religious guides on your website a substitute for a scholar?

No. Our guides explain mainstream practice in clear language and note where schools of thought differ, but they are general information, not personal rulings. For questions about your own situation, please consult a qualified scholar you trust.

Travel & hotels

How close are your hotels to the Haram?

It varies by package, and we describe each hotel honestly: whether it faces the courtyard, is a short or moderate walk, or is served by a shuttle, along with the nearest gates and anything that affects the walk such as slopes or elevator waits. Read Hotel Proximity Explained.

Where do I put on Ihram if I fly from the United States?

Flights from the U.S. to Jeddah cross the miqat in the air, so pilgrims going straight to Makkah should be in Ihram before that point. Many change before departure or during a layover and make the intention when the crew announces the miqat. If you go to Madinah first, you enter Ihram later, at the Madinah miqat. See Ihram Explained.

Which U.S. airports do you plan departures from?

Our published packages show their departure airports. For custom trips we can price flights from most U.S. airports with international connections. Tell us your nearest airport and a specialist will compare routes.

Visas & documents

Do U.S. citizens need a visa for Umrah?

Yes. U.S. citizens have generally been eligible to apply for a Saudi tourist eVisa that can be used for Umrah outside the Hajj season, and Umrah permits are booked through the official Nusuk platform. Rules change, so always check the official Saudi eVisa portal before you travel. Visa decisions are made by the Saudi authorities, and no agency can guarantee approval.

I live in the U.S. but am not a U.S. citizen. Can I perform Umrah?

Often, yes, but your options depend on the passport you hold. Some U.S. permanent residents and U.S. visa holders may be eligible for a Saudi eVisa or visa on arrival, subject to conditions. Check the official portal and make sure your U.S. re-entry documents remain valid for your whole trip. A specialist can explain the general process for your situation.

Can you guarantee a Rawdah appointment in Madinah?

No. Rawdah visits are booked through the official Nusuk app and are subject to availability set by the authorities. We can explain how the process works, but no agency can honestly guarantee an appointment.
